The couple making (blowing?) the glass are very friendly and invite you to watch and comment as they make their exquisite glass bowls. They are exhibited in museums as well as high class shops (I believe). Surely an investment for the future should you buy one (as we did)

This was a wonderful find after a superb walk. The glassware in the studio is stunning, perfectly formed and very very classy. Once you are on their mailing list you will receive opportunities to purchase limited editions which are well worth it. An antique of the future and well worth investing in

Individual glassware creations fired on the premises, designs heavily influenced by Scandinavia but with the artisans' own "handwriting" and skill provides just unique pieces. That apart, the artists accept commissions for special work, at a price. It is the amount of trained human endeavour in each piece which surely justifies the price tags, something we found to appreciate in an... More

Worth a look, but by reviewing I'm bothered place may become inundated by travellers looking at these craftsmen at work. The building is a stunning old once was blacksmiths forge, which lends itself nicely to glass blowing. Watching the guys at their craft was like watching a duet of carefully choreographed movements. Brilliant

Fascinating to talk about the latest works and projects. Wonderful artisanship and range of products. Excellent service to post our purchases overseas, even holding on for a few weeks to ensure the parcel arrived after we returned home. Many thanks

We walked into the workshop/display area and were blown away, ha, no pun intended. The level at which they produce here is superb. You will see glass here, although quite pricey, that just is not produced elsewhere, to our knowledge anyway. There are but a handful of people in the world that can produce quality at this level. It was... More

Called in to Gillies Jones Glass whilst out and about in Rosedale Abbey, although we didnt see the glass being blown this day, we were able to see the workshop next to the gallery and had a great friendly discussion with the owner, loved the glasswork which is very beautiful. We will be back

The glass takes inspiration from the local countryside. Beautiful bowls, limited editions and equisite designs. We received such a friendly welcome. We bought a bowl some years ago and it has given us so much pleasure. It is also a very warm place on a cold day! We were so pleased to visit again.

Quite small, but amazing to watch the glass being blown. The two gentleman were so friendly. Whilst the glass was being heated, shaped, cooled down etc we were given a detailed description of what was happening, which we found very interesting. Would have loved to watch for longer as felt completely captivated by the whole experience. The end result is... More

Called in out of curiosity and wow, what stunning artwork. They were doing some improvements to the kiln when we went so couldn't actually see glass being blown but had a very informative talk about the process the glass goes through to make the finished artwork. Beautiful glass on display but I'd be terrified taking small children in for fear... More
