Lovely place to visit - we really enjoyed reading the history of Pickering. The museum a lot bigger than expected. Especially nice as run by volunteers who genuinely care about the place. Highly recommend- many thanks.

We were take to this museum by a friend who had remembered childhood visits there. The collection is varied and a fascinating insight into local history. The children enjoyed the different sections as there's a lot to look at in a relatively small space.

WE only had time to see the exhibits fairly quickly but will return to explore further and do it the justice it deserves.

I am sorry you ran short of time, but our ticket giving free return visits for the next 12 months will enable you to return when you wish to take a more leisurely tour of the museum.

No but they allow you to sit in the courtyard with your dog while one looks around and then change over as we did.
