I am sorry you ran short of time, but our ticket giving free return visits for the next 12 months will enable you to return when you wish to take a more leisurely tour of the museum.

Visited Pickering over many years but never got round to visiting Beck Isle Museum. Wow what a hidden gem! Excellent Museum with so much to see. Displays are amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely make a return visit soon.

This is a good quality local museum situated in an fine building. No guide book available but the staff were extremely well informed and helpful.More

Thank you for taking the time to review our museum and giving such a great review. On various days throughout the year we have volunteers who man selected rooms and demonstrate some of the many exhibited crafts.

We were met by a lovely couple who at reception who were volunteers - very welcoming and full of good cheer. A wander downstairs in the museum is decent, some interesting cameras and a lovely old printing press worth seeing, then upstairs it's little businesses...More

Many of our visitors are surprised by the museum’s size once they get inside, our 27 areas of exhibits take quite a while to get around.

No but they allow you to sit in the courtyard with your dog while one looks around and then change over as we did.
