Lovely day and pleasant walk down the pier train runs quite regularily up and dow the pier brilliant views of the large lake which has lots of beautiful swans on.

We walked the pier on a nice day and glad we did. Its worth the walk out and the old style slot-machines (old 1p ones) and pin-ball games are SO retro. And you can have a coffee as well at the end of the pier....More

The Pier is well worth a visit while in Southport. Not sure how long it is but looking along it, it appears to disappear into the distance. There’s a miniature railway runs it’s entire length so it’s accessible to everyone.
