Vintage cinema

Lovely local cinema, friendly helpful staff, well worth a visit if you're in town. There's even a bar available for certain showings!

I have reviewed this cinema before and graded it lower than 4 stars. This time we were in screen 7 and I am much more impressed. This screen must have been done up more recently than the one I previously went to (upstairs, maybe screen 1 or 2?) and was a very welcome improvement. The seats are now, especially, small... More

Visited here with my daughter to see Finding Dory whilst on holiday. This is a small cinema situated on the High Street. It was a bit like stepping back in time to my childhood before the multiplex cinemas arrived. The staff were great and there were the usual popcorn, sweets and drinks available. A good choice of films were available... More

Enjoyed the experience of an old style cinema. Prices were reasonable and it was clean and tidy. Booster seats were provided for the children and seating was comfortable.

It was exciting visiting a new cinema and we enjoyed seeing Finding Dory and Jason Bourne today - our party split into two. Everything was fine but it was SO HOT in there; the lad said they'd switch the aircon on but it was like an oven in there! Still enjoyed the experience overall though.

Don't watch a movie on screen 2 as all the seats are on the same level so if someone sits in front of you, you won't have a great view of the screen also there are no cup holders on the seats also the main area could do with a bit of TLC

Went to see 'Jason Bourne' today and, as always, had a great experience. If you're looking for a shiny new (faceless) multiplex then this won't be for you but I love that the Merlin group use buildings with a history and this really contributes to the individual atmosphere of the venue. The staff are friendly and are always happy to... More
