The Isle of Wight Zoo is home to one of Britain's largest collection of tigers, many of whom are rescue animals. With several superb new enclosures modeled on natural tiger habitats in India, the zoo is a fantastic place to see these wonderful animals relaxing. A number of other animals also live there, including lemurs, jaguars and lions. Family friendly with disabled access throughout.

I had bought my son a milk feeding experience with the tigers and thoroughly enjoyed being up close and personal. They have lovely enclosures and seem happy. We enjoyed our time there and being on the island will continue to return

This is a rescue centre for big cats and monkeys, it is not glamorous, but the animals are really cared for and seem to know their keepers very well. We really did have a very relaxing four and a half hours and didn't even stop for coffee. The talks were excellent (by Ruth and Alan) and I would really recommend... More

Have visited few times as we live on the island, the staff now do a commentary about the animals and how they have acquired them which is brilliant as it gives you an insight of where they have been rescued. Animals are very well cared for, have large enclosures and seem very happy. Staff are friendly and very informative and... More

Beautifully set out and plenty to see. Don't expect giraffes etc. it is not that kind of zoo!!! They concentrate on big cats although there are plenty of other animals to see. The animals are kept in wonderful "cages" (wait til you see the size of them, not really cages) and are obviously very well cared for. Well worth a... More

The Isle of Wight Zoo is a lovely place to visit for an hour or 2. Theres a variety of lions & tigers, lemars, meer cats, insects, snakes & more. You can go in with the lemars and meercats for a great experience and camera courses are good fun too.

This zoo is small but well worth a visit. The animals are well cared for, and quite a few here for the size of it. A definite must for families. There is outside seating so child/animal friendly. A small café is situated on site. would recommend.

As a disabled person I was worried about the zoo but I needn't have worried, my friend was able to push me in my wheelchair as although it's gravely. I was very impressed at the keepers knowledge about Lemars we got their just in time for the talk. I found the zoo very clean, the only downside was the toilets,... More

It was a really good visit. We we're the about 10 years ago. The zoo is not very big but all of the big cats were great and happy to pose for the camera. The kids found souvenirs in the shop. Lost in the corner but interesting were the pumps from WW. We even came back before we left the... More
