About
The 1 km long ‘beaver trail’ is located in Oandu, in the Lahemaa National Park, and takes around half an hour to cover. It passes through the Altja River valley, in which you will see a diversity of plant and animal life. You will spy beaver activity in the valley too: the dams they build, their dens on the banks of the river and the trees whose trunks they gnaw through. The trail is a great place to stop in Lahemaa National Park if you're on a long journey.

This walk is in a nice area. Unfortunately the way was not clearly signed. We couldn't see any beaver traces.
There are other more beautiful walks in the park.

The trail is well marked, in great condition. Some areas have stairs and there are information signs as you wander around. We saw the remains of beaver dams but didn't really see any new active dams. Nice walk.

This is a well laid out trail in Laheema national park. It is a very easy walk through some beautiful areas. You can see the work of the beavers but we did not see any actual beavers. It is quite a short walk.

This very well constructed trail was a lovely way to enjoy the natural bush land of Estonia and learn something of the beaver's mysterious ways. There were plenty of beaver dams to see and blue berries to suck.

We stopped on our way pass and decided for a spontaneous walk. Its took us approx an hour. The paths are well maintained and you get to see the river with the beaver dams a few times. Unfortunatly we didn't see any wild life. But there is a fair bit of information about the forrest and the animals there.
