Having visited the Isle of Man out of season, most of the visitor attractions were unfortunately shut. However the museum was one of the few attractions which were still open, and brilliantly it was free admission. The collection is superb showing a wide range of topics, from the local wildlife to the traditional Manx way of life all the way... More

Has inevitably happens on a holiday in the UK, it rained, but I am glad it did, because we went to the Manx museum, what a great place to visit, full of lots of interesting & unusual things. I really enjoyed my visit, there is something for everyone, I particularly liked the old seaside displays, a lovely reminder of past... More

My partner and I decided to get away for the new year and was staying close by to the Manx Museum. The staff were extremely helpful and directed us where we were to begin and continue to explore. I couldn't believe that this is a free exhibition! There is so much to see and do and being very much in... More

First time in the Isle of man. Stumbled upon the museum while having a walk around Douglas. This place offers so much fun for all ages. You can interact with the majority of all exhibits. A must and is free so even better.

Lots of exhibits which were most engaging. Plenty of interactive stuff to do and a great gift shop. This was my 2nd visit and there were new displays to see since my last visit.

Superb. Well worth the short uphill walk. Spotlessly clean, informative, great friendly staff. Lovely museum and worth a couple of hours of your time; you won't regret it.

My friend who has 2 young children took me there for a visit. We had a very nice time. The kids also had a fun informative trip. The best thing is that its free however the parking is not big and can get quite busy!

A great place to visit, it's got lots to see for all ages. You will need a few hours to get around it properly. You don't get much for nothing these days and this would be worth paying to visit but it's free.
