This is a good way of getting about the coast from Douglas north to laxey and Ramsey especially if you have kids. You do need to make sure you take note of the timetable as you can wait a while between trams. It certainly adds...More

This is a must to go on you'll never get tired of going on this. You can link up to the horse drawn tram in Douglas and then the Steam train from Douglas to Port Erin along amazing coastline.

Brilliant!! The narrative on the team was good but hard to hear. Quite a long wait. So we went and did something else and came back a couple of hours. The drivers and ticket office were great. Informative and approachable

The Manx Electric Railway runs between Douglas and Ramsey, calling en route at Laxey where the Snaefell Mountain Railway can be boarded. The Victorian carriages are well maintained and delightful.

It is very easy to move about and at times either side, on the way 'up' I would say the right hand side, to get a good view of the Laxey wheel.

We paid £16 each The ticket took us to Laxey on the train from Douglas. We changed at Laxey onto the Snaefell Railway and after a roam on the mountain we took the train back Laxey and then on to Douglas. We then used it to... More
