Me and my wife took a trip to Laxey from Douglas and it was a great way to travel and see some of the Beautiful island coastline and valleys. Unfortunately we couldn't go on the mountain line up to Snaefell as it was under repair....More

Excellent experience travelled in the covered car to Ramsey and the open car in the return leg. Staff very helpful and pleasant. A recommended trip.

Not the warmest of days but an enclosed coach is run alongside an open coach for warmer days. Really good value going right along the coast to Ramsay. Many beautiful andonteresting sights on the way.

Book your seats for not only a trip in this mountain train which is a piece of Victorian workmanship still functioning to visit the top of the only mountain in IOM, but the chance of an evening meal at the top. Usually wonderful view, regrettably...More

A different day out for the grandchildren , went to the park for a play, stopped on the way to the tram, had fish and chips,walked around a few shops and had a pleasant ride back to Laxey, lovely day out

The Manx Electric Railway is a must do, you'll not regret it. It runs from Darby Castle, Douglas to Ramsey.

This was an exciting place to go too, heard loads of people say, go to the top of the mountain by rail. We did this but it was very foggy at the top and we couldn't see are hands in front of our faces.lol lovely...More

It is very easy to move about and at times either side, on the way 'up' I would say the right hand side, to get a good view of the Laxey wheel.

We paid £16 each The ticket took us to Laxey on the train from Douglas. We changed at Laxey onto the Snaefell Railway and after a roam on the mountain we took the train back Laxey and then on to Douglas. We then used it to... More
