Took the tram from Groudle to Laxey, guard was helpful (the ticket pricing guide not so) you get what you pay for, a vintage tram journey, the track in places does need work, so don’t expect a bump free ride. Take the tram and see...More

Good way to get towards Ramsey but a little slower than the buses. Stops at good places where you can get off and back on later. Groudle for the Groudle Glen Steam Railway only operates Sundays from May through summer. Laxey for the wheel, tram...More

Amazing mode of transport enabling us to see the beautiful countryside on our route. Travelled to see the fantastic Laxey Wheel, up to Snaefell, and to Ramsey. A very enjoyable day.

the MER runs from the North End of the promenade, essentially along the coast to Ramsey. There are some great views along the way especially on the segment north of Laxey. it runs a mix of enclosed carriages with upholstered seats, and open-sided 'trailers' that...More

We travelled from Douglas to Laxey with the elettric railway and it was absolutely amazing. We felt like Victorian age! The tram travels surrounded by nature and you can admire the cliffs.

The railway itself and the journey is a great activity, but sadly Ramsey at the end of the line has nothing to offer - other than a lifeboat station you can visit, so don't plan on staying long; just get the next tram back. Laxey...More

Our trip got off to a difficult start as there was only one coach which meant it was a bit squashed and the seats were a little narrow. However all that was soon forgotten as we travelled up the line to Ramsey. We sat on...More

It is very easy to move about and at times either side, on the way 'up' I would say the right hand side, to get a good view of the Laxey wheel.
