Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really enjoyed a wander around the castle coupled with a long walk down the estuary - there's a great route/guide on the Discovering Britain website. Ample free parking and free to visit.

Despite working on and off in the area in the past have never visited before. The castle is easily accessed from the town and the views are fantastic. There is an access via stairs to a viewpoint above the castle but the scenery from ground level is equally superb. There is a coastal walk adjacent to the castle if you are a walker.

Stopped off at the castle on our way through.. a little gem nicely cared for . Loved the views from the top and the history lesson from the talking post ..
All in all worth a visit if you're in the area , free to look around and a safe stair case to the top.

Beautiful piece of history. It’s free to visit and access via a free car park. Lovely view of the shoreline as well. Can climb to the top of the tower for an awesome view.

A quick visit to a gem on the Dee estuary. Free car park and free entry to the ruins. Lots of information dotted around the castle with recorded details in English and Welsh at the touch of a button. Everything was well maintained.

On holiday in North Wales this week and thinking of paying a visit to Flint Castle... can I just ask where and what parking is like please?
Thanks in advance.

There is a free public car park about 150m away from the castle. Just drive past the castle and follow the P signs. The car park is an easy flat walk to the castle entrance. The castle is also free.
