About
The Old Courts is a multi-disciplinary art centre based In Wigan Town centre within a few minutes walk from Wigan Bus station and both Wigan Train Stations. There is a full programme of activities which changes weekly which can be found on the events guide on our website. Please Note: Some of the venues are only open for events please refer to the Whats on guide for specific opening times. The Old Courts is a local community project that runs as a CIC and not-for-profit which strives to make the Arts more accessible to our community.

What a brilliant venue, saw bootleg blondie and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Excellent bar service and staff, can't wait to visit again.

This venue is an absolute gem in the heart of Wigan. Amazing place to see a variety of performers; theatre, arts, music and also a wedding venue (my step daughter had her wedding reception here). We attend here quite a lot, the most recent being The Blow Monkeys on Friday. We have a drink the Bailiff Bar beforehand where they also had music acts on. This place has been renovated to an excellent standard whilst keeping the character of the building in tact. The toilets are really nice too!! Keep up the good work - we love it here.

Great night watching Glory Days tribute band to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band singing along with the crowd.
Easy to get to the bar & toilets which are new & very clean.

Fab night watching Glory Days, great venue, great band, great atmosphere. Sang a lot of older stuff then finished with the most popular Bruce classics.
Would certainly visit the Old Courts again.

Have to say fav was the band , we follow Glory Days a lot , it was a great venue , wish I could have got a cocktail in bar though , the first band was not my taste found them to loud , but would def recommend the courthouse as a venue

Fantastic community facility located in the town centre,couple of minutes walk from the nearest train station.Very helpful,courteous and professional staff.Refreshment prices very reasonable.Would definitely recommend attending this venue.

Fantastic little venue for live music. Great sound, fully stocked bar literally 10 yards from the stage.

Went to a Saturday night gig.. security outside directed us to a safe car space.. free of charge and outside the building.. lots of excellent bars inside,and toilet facilities.. all clean and modern.. loved the gig and I’ll be definitely returning..

All street parking in Wigan is free after 6.30 in the evening.
We are coming to see Mama in October, are there seats for disabled people as my wife cannot stand for long periods of time. Thanks

Hi,
The Venue for this performance is the Grand Vault which is a standing room only event. We can however provide seating if it is required for accessibility.
If you can call the Box Office on 01942834747 Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm they will be able to arrange this for you.

Hi Linda,
There is on street parking on Crawford Street immediately outside the building. It is free after 5.30pm on the right hand side of the street and after 6.30pm on the left side of the street.
There is a Car Park on Dorning Street which is 100 Yards away which is £3 for all day, and free after 5pm.
