The National carriage museum at Arlington Court is certainly worth a visit if you are in the Lynton area. It provides a fascinating incite into the transport of the past. The gold 'speakers' coach which is there at present is spectacular.

We popped along from Croyde as the weather was a bit unpleasant for surfing. Lovely surprise when we arrived. Fab grounds and the carriages were amazing. We had a lovely lunch as well. Great day enjoyed by all.

Have lived here for twenty years and my first proper visit to Arlington Court's main house. What have I been missing? The visit is exceptionally good value for your entry fee (if you are not an NT member that is). The house is well laid...More

The carriage museum is a must on anyone's bucket list, it had The Speaker gold coach on display which was last used at Charles and Diana's wedding. Dozens of other types of coaches - some very bizarre. Walled gardens worth a visit, as was the...More

Fantastic cottage - very cosy and comfortable, in a lovely area. We loved Arlington Court - the Carriage museum and the wider estate. For anyone with mobility problems, like me: I found the gravel path difficult to walk on, and could not go up the...More

This is such a lovely place. It includes a grand house to go round, a truly brilliant carriage collection, scrumptious tea rooms, shop and bats that can be viewed by camera but best of all are the grounds and gardens with plenty of room for...More

Sorry , I can't remember if its an inclusive price. You need good weather to view the gardens and estate though. I have visited often enough to know rain isn't good for walking through the lower estate

Not absolutely certain, as we don't have a dog, but I did see some people with dogs on leads around the grounds but not in the house or carriage museum. Hope this helps.
