A bit of everything

This is a rare example now of a three sided ground in England. It's patchy, quirky, untidy in parts, yet with a newish stand.
The atmosphere v Orient was good and it was a good match. I hear that there are plans to knock down some buildings and replace them....in this case it maybe a good idea as attendances are going up.
It's a short walk from the centre of town which is a big plus point.
The programme was £3 which for thirty pages was not good value.

I first came here in 1967 and to be honest apart from one of the stands not having a roof its exactly the same. When I came the gates were open on a Monday morning, I asked if I could take a few pictures but was so pleased when the groundsman took me in the stand and the changing rooms. Visited the boardroom and you realise the difference in facilities and finances between the Wigan's of this world and Barrow. Thanks so much for making my day.

Trek was worth it
Dec 2018 • Couples
A long trip past Morecambe and along the top of Morecambe bay .
The ground is small, the staff are pleasant and the atmosphere is good.
A long trip but worth it the club could be destined for better things.
The facilities in the ground are good, and there is a large Asda and other stores near .
Plenty of parking near the stadium .
Will visit again .

Pleasant but nosy staff
Sep 2018 • Couples
The ladies behind the desk are always polite and pleasant but every time I withdraw money They ask me what I am going to spend it on! I really think that's my business. That is a question for family and friends not for people I dont know.

Opening game of the season and a good turn out. Clean ground, seating or Sat ding, whatever your preferences . Usual refreshments and burger vans. Homely atmosphere, with a die hard group of fans who travel up and down the country to support the blue birds.

A long trek from Hampshire to watch Barrow v Eastleigh.
Nice ground, very old fashioned but nice bars and a good atmosphere to be had. The away end behind the goal is out in the open on a terrace can be very cold when the wind and rain sets in,Barrow fans are generally quite friendly and welcoming even though Eastleigh lost last night, there fans are a good bunch and well behaved.

Dont visit Asda when match is on
Nov 2017 • Solo
An old stadium situated next to Asda which looks pretty run down, they also lose parts of the building in high winds.
You can always tell when a game is on as lots of cars parked in nearby streets and in the Asda car park so you can't actually park to go shopping.

Football game the old fashioned way
Mar 2017 • Solo
Attended Barrow vs Tranmere Rovers yesterday following my beloved superwhites. Sat in the seated away end because I wanted to be sheltered from the rain. Paid £17 which I guess is a bit expensive for a National League match but compared to £50 for Premier League it is fair. The stadium is pretty small and old fashioned which you'd expect for that level of football but that is part of the charm of these places. My only problem is there is no roof over the standing away section so not good if it's raining (which it was). Burgers are good too.

Proper old football stadium. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff and the locals were really friendly, they welcomed us into their clubhouse. I enjoyed my time here, it made the 620 mile roundtrip worthwhile.
