A green venture working towards an eco friendly way of living with organic, local and green thinking at the heart of everything we do. Bread and pizzas are made daily in our wood fired oven, and we serve simple rustic dishes made with local, organic and seasonal ingredients, all cooked fresh to order using traditional cooking methods. Supporting local producers the farmshop has a traditional butchers counter, delicatessen, bakery and general store with organic fruit, veg, wines, beers and baby products. All of our bread, cakes, patisserie and even chocolates are organic and are hand made in our own kitchens.

Very nice lunch served with extra tasty yorkshire puddings, gravy, roasted carrots and squash plus cauliflower cheese. A little overpriced at £11 however the produce here is locally sourced and organic! Their shop stocks everything from organic wine, frozen meals to herbal creams and handmade jewellery. Will have to try the new turmeric latte on our next visit.

Definitely recommend as a place to eat for all the family - food is excellent and the staff are even better. We use it regularly but please try it as a stop over if traveling over A66

This is our favourite stop on the way to the Lakes. Breakfast here has become a regular thing and as all produce is free range it is delicious.

As well as a nice range of organic products for sale, the farm cafe offers a very good variety of food. Most of us had the pizza which was cooked in the authentic pizza oven and tasted great.

This place has always intrigued me when travelling up to the Stadium of Light and we had the chance to visit. Greeted by the unusual green grassed roof building and the plentiful parking spaces we got to the café. The food was excellent and you would expect to pay a little bit more for organic produce - good experience and... More

Quick and simple lunch for a couple. Freshly made soup ideal to warm you up on cold frosty day. It is light and airy room which which has a organic shop to take home some treats. Good size parking area. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a small place compared to Mainsgill Farm just down the road, which is nice if you want a bit of quiet whilst resting and eating (compared to Mainsgill) At present there is minimal Christmas decoration which is a shame however the bacon and or sausage sandwiches and coffee make up for it. The furniture is comfortable. There is... More
