a Sir Tatton Sykes Church which has its own charm and is not overstated. Search for the door to a very narrow staircase leading to the Library.

Lots to see in this Church just outside the Sledmere House area with the entrance off the Main Street, look at the history of the Sykes family.

Visit this church and see the history of the village and of course the Sykes Family,easy parking near the church or go into the house car park and visit the house as well.

We visited here after going round Sledmere house, it is a nice enough church but if you didn't get time to include it on a visit to the village then you should not feel you have missed out.

This is the parish church in Sledmere. The only feature of interest for me was the ornate covering for the font. The rest of the church was quite ordinary.

beautiful Sykes church stunning woodwork and beautiful stained glass windows. Very well kept and had information leaflets in the church to tell you about it.
