Millcombe House was built in the 1830s and has been well-preserved. It was a privilege to stay there. It was luxurious, managing to combine old world grandeur with modern facilities. There was no TV, no radio, no microwave and no washing machine. Those absences did...More

A good day trip from Bideford or Ilfracombe, although outside the main season trips are not all that frequent. Avoid parking at the harbour (an iniquitous £11.50) and use car parks a bit further away. The journey can be a bit rough, so be prepared....More

Despite discovering on the 2 hour journey across to the island that I suffer from sea sickness, I thoroughly enjoyed my day in Lundy. The island is stunning, so peaceful and perfect for those who just wish to walk in the tranquility amongst some friendly...More

If only we were able to spend more than a few hours on the island. There are so many things to see and watch from the birds to the seals. Next time will stop for a few days

Yes parking is a bit scary. Yes car parks at both. Parking websites search for parking in each town. We stayed night before in royal hotel Biddeford. Let us leave our car £5 per night. Worth checking
