Do not expect Gressenhall Workhouse and Farm to give you a satisfactory experience of the Workhouse as it was. The Workhouse Experience, as Gressenhall names the visit, is only partially accurate The laundry still retains some of the atmosphere of these dreadful places as does...More

I visited this museum when it was open for a Heritage Open Day. This had clearly brought in the crowds, but at no time did the museum seem too crowded to enjoy the exhibits. From the start, the day had clearly been well planned and...More

Thankyou for your lovely review. It's great to hear that you enjoyed visiting us as part of Heritage Open Day. Hope you will visit us again, perhaps for another event? Many thanks, Lauren

We found it an expensive day out with three young kids that did not live up to enough expectations. The farm walk is OK but not that novel if you live rurally anyway. The museum, although they try to attract child interest, is pretty dull...More

We were on holiday in Norfolk and intrigued by the opportunity of visiting a former workhouse, so thought we would pay a brief visit - but stayed for four fascinating hours. We knew very little about workhouses, and it discovered that Gressenhall is a rare...More
