We have just spent a few days in Enniskillen and almost everywhere in the town you can see the statute Coles monument so we decided to make the walk to the park and see the monument up close. It's a steep road from Belmore Street to the summit but its worth it. The view is pretty good although it is not the right area to see the castle. There is a bandstand nearby which was convenient for us as it was starting to rain. The monument is quite impressive up close and its a nice place to visit on a sunny sunny day. …

Was not able to get inside the monument due to Covid but this is in a lovely setting with great views. Interesting snapshot of history and the grounds are kept well.

It is marvellous how the people got stones up here and built it, as it sits high up. Well worth seeing and the park around it is kept in immuclate condition.
