We visited while on a short holiday in September. My wife is interested in lace and, coming from Nottingham with its history of lace making, we were interested to discover more about Irish lace. But nothing could have prepared us for just how fine this shop is. It is beautifully set out with a huge collection of superb Irish lace,... More

After years of dreaming of it, I was finally able to visit Sheelin Lace and found it everything I'd hoped it to be. For anyone who loves lace, the displays here are exquisite. Of special note are the 3 lace wedding dresses towards the back of the shop. This shop was a treat to walk through, and well worth my... More

Don't agree with other reviews. I was so surprised at the beauty of the museum and shop, so much to see. Loved it. You can tell the owner is passionate about lace. Wish I lived near so I could visit often. A lot in a small space. Don't miss out on this wonderful place. Car park to side of shop.... More

This is a completely over-the-top shop-cum-museum. It's not a large shop but is stuffed full of lace of all shapes and sizes including some exquisite wedding dresses from the turn of the last century. Much of the stuff is for sale but the prices are rather steep. However, there's lIkely to be something in here for most tastes. Worth a... More

We went to see the museum but it is really just a shop very opulent tons of laces in it and looks very nice but is just a shop in the end. The old dresses are lovely decorated with lots of accessoires and there are some discriptions on them but you can hardly call it a museum. It was free... More

Relatively small building jam-packed with lace from all over Ireland and of varying age. Absolutely fascinating and well worth a visit.

If you love beautiful things elegantly presented, you must visit here! It is a museum AND shop-everything is antique but many are also for sale. I bought several beautiful items including linens with embroidery. I would have bought my wedding veil here if I had known! Gorgeous wedding gowns, lampshades, hats, baby christening gowns, table cloths...instead of small I would... More

I loved the displays and could have spent hours looking at them everytime you look you find something new. You can buy pieces prices start at £20 and up. I visited with my mum... More

One of the best places I know to shop for lace in all of Ireland. Hands down the expert in the field of vintage, antique and one of kind lace pieces to enhance your own collection of fine linen and lace, it is my go to place. Rich in the history of lace and linens that were made in Ireland... More
