The walk from the Yacht Harbour in Lymington going west towards Keyhaven passes several old Salterns. It is a great place for birdwatching and there are fine views of the Isle of Wight. Very popular with dog walkers. I wish we had more time to...More

A lovely walk, probabbly more pleasant in the sunshine, but you can't order the weather ! The scenery was stunning, and the paths easily traversed

We did a short circular stroll from the Yacht Haven around the old Salterns and marshes which are now a Nature Reserve for many birds. One can walk all the way to Milford if wanted, but there are many alternatives all well signed.

Rode along the Solent Way from the Yacht Haven car park to Keyhaven and return today, about 8 miles. Lots of walkers and dogs off the lead who did not hear my little bell. Bird watchers with heavy telescopic cameras stood in groups reluctant to...More

Four of us ventured out on hired bikes along this walkway/cycle path, and we had an excellent afternoon trundling towards Milford and back to Lymington. It was an easy ride, pretty much flat all the way, and once outside the town we virtually had the...More

Staying in Lymington with our bikes and our golden retriever has meant that the Solent Way has played a big part in our holiday. It really is worth making the trip down through the yacht.club to join the walk. We have walked routes on it...More

We walked the section from Milford to Lymington. The stretch out to Hurst Castle is fairly tough going over the pebbles, but worth it for the views. Retracing our steps, we walked part of the way towards Lymington and back. We then walked the other...More

This is a lovely walk along the shore. The route is over pebbles that can make the walk a bit more taxing than walking over solid ground... still worth it!

This is a nice level walk which you can start from the Marina car park which follows the coast on the South side alongside a Marsh area ideal for birdwatching. At several points you can walk inland across the Marsh into the pretty oak lined...More

This is a great coastal walk - all on the flat and on all wide pathways with no mud or nettles etc. We started from Lymington station - just turn left and head for the quayside then follow the water's edge to pick up the...More

The path is fairly open but be prepared to dismount to pass walkers and "twitchers" who stand in small groups. As far as I am aware there is no restriction as there are cyclists often on the footpath, just remember it is a... More
