Nice beach at Lytham St Anne's
Aug 2021
Lovely sandy beach with parking by the pier or close to the pier. Toilets in car park.
Sea is a long way away but there is a paddling pool by the pier.
Sand dunes at back of beach are nice for a walk.
Not too crowded even in August.
Pier has cafe and usual things.

Great Beach Area

Brilliant beach. This is a vast expanse of beach which is impeccably maintained. Lots of room for everyone.

Lovely day out
Aug 2021 • Family
First time visiting this summer and it was a lovely, enjoyable day out with the children. Parking was easy and close to the beach. Plenty of space to spread out. The tide was out so that meant a good 25 mins or so walk however the children were busy collecting shells to keep them busy. We took our own picnic so not sure about food. They had an icecream van near the car park which was convenient. Will need 20p to use the toilets (which were very dirty as you would expect).
Worth a visit if you the kids just want to play and not the hustle and bustle of Blackpool beach.

Huge expanse of golden sand.

It's a gorgeous beach but we had been warned in advance that it's very windy here. We were thoroughly sand blasted

Fantastic vast beach
Aug 2021
One of the biggest and loveliest beaches I have ever visited. Just an amazing expanse of sand and a good walk to the sea if you feel up to it. The pier is showing it's age and houses an amusement arcade with a lovely cafe / ice cream parlour at the end. A great day out for all.

Lack of public toilets is a disgrace
Jul 2021
Visited recently. Whist the beach was ok, the lack of public toilet facilities was a disgrace. Not just here but down towards Lytham was the same.

A block of three toilets that require 20 p coin to enter is just not good enough. Its not cost - many people do not carry change these dats as we have moved to contactless. The queue for the 3 cubicles was ridiculous.

Fylde council needs a major rethink and build proper toilet facilities (not individual cubicles) that are free entry.

No toilets-shame on the council
Jul 2021 • Couples
The beach is beautiful, however there are very few public toilet opportunities, and those that are available you have to have a 20p coin to gain access. Clearly following Covid in particular, most people no longer carry cash, and particularly not 20p coins. This is highly unacceptable when the area trying to encourage tourists to visit – we were struck by the beauty and discussed finding accommodation to stay longer, however when even basic amenities can’t be provided for tourists to support the local economy we decided we will not bother.
