We visited the Town of Salcombe on 9/21/18. There are many wonderful shops to browse in and some great eating options. The harbor is very picturesque and expect to see lots of rib boats and Boston Whalers in Salcombe.

The jetties seem to get better organised every year. It is still a little difficult to find a spot and you may need to wait a few minutes for a space to become available when it is busy. We didn’t have to wait long and...More

We came via a very small passenger ferry boat maximum of 8 passengers. We walked through the town to the harbour and even found the RNLI shop and mini museum. It was a cool afternoon and we sat to watch the world drift by for...More

Lovely harbour with good views and plenty of benches to people watch from. Keep an eye out for the mullet swimming around under the boats, they were quite impressive. On a sunny day, you could almost imagine that you were sat in a foreign country....More

We spent quite a few hours, sitting on the benches, watching the world bustle around the harbour at Salcombe. The ferry goes from there, and over the summer you can watch people hop into their boats or set off on their paddle boards. When we...More

The Harbour staff are very helpful and the facilities offered by the Harbour Authority are as good as can be provided given the space available and number of boats large and small that visit in July and August

It would appear it is compulsory to take a dog when you visit Salcombe harbour or town, which is really actually one street. I prefer it off season it’s way too busy now late August . Salcombe is very expensive and the only thing of...More

Those poor crabs, I wonder how many times in their lives they get hooked out of the harbour in Salcombe, handled and popped back in. I think they are getting wiser as we only caught a few this year! We all enjoy a bit of...More

A picturesque fishing village in the heart of Devon surrounded by pastel coloured houses and a lively / welcoming atmosphere. Salcombe's harbour has regular water activity such as surfing , sailing and rides on yachts and paddle boats.
