Founded in 1959 and still steaming! We run steam trains between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead on over 200 days each year, and are open even when no trains are running.

Came here on Tuesday 20th June 2017 and it was great. Similar to the Kent & East Sussex Railway but it is all steam hauled rather than a steam/diesel mixture like the other one. Very professionally run by volunteers that completes the nostalgic feel to...More

Had a great visit - started at Sheffield Park, interesting station- museum, old carriages and enthusiastic volunteers seemed happy to help. Lovely clean comfortable coaches and a very pleasant journey. We had lunch and a pint in the pub, which was very nice too.

Excellent evening. Fish and chips tasty and very well cooked, not at all greasy. Delivered in individual boxes well packaged and served hot. Bread and butter (not margerine) to accompany. Chocolate cake with cream for dessert plus tea or coffee. Very friendly service.

The web site doesn't give any details of the departure time and return time of the Dinner Pullman on a Saturday. Perhaps some better information should be added as other railways appear to manage to show such times, e.g. Kent and East Sussex. So, what are the times?
