I was sorry to see this gallery closed during half term, would have like to have visited it having made a special visit to Buxton Market place assuming it would be open.

We're sorry you weren't able to visit us at half term. You missed us by one day! Since re-opening on 1st August we have been open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from 10.30am to 4.30pm. All of our staff are volunteers and our capacity has been greatly reduced by the pandemic. Once the second lockdown is over, we hope to open at the above times from 4th December but please check our website or Facebook page for updates before you come. Thank you.

Great selection of art by local artists that both work and sell in the building. This place really does deserve to succeed.

Let's start with the staff, they were very friendly and accommodating. The gallery on several floors which has a very varied history, is becoming very tired, but this does not reflect what is on offer. A simply delightful display of arts and crafts by local artisans and a delight to wander around. Buxton certainly has some very talented residents. Don't miss this wonderful 'free' gallery, it really is worth supporting.

Stumbled across this place when visiting Buxton and was really happy we did. There were children outside creating art and decorating the railings up to the entrance which was great to see. The gallery and space is really big and you could easily spend a fair amount of time exploring the space. The staff/volunteers were really friendly to offering a great insight into the gallery. Thank You!

Always visit the Green Man when in Buxton. The building itself is interesting enough, there is a folder with all its history for you to look at. Make yourself a tea or coffee very good value, relax and have a read. It really is worth it just to get a hot drink, listen to the relaxung music, then have a wander around. There are always changing exhibitions and resident ones. Just love this place!!
