We had often been recommended to visit this museum. Now we have been we wished had been sooner. This must be one of the best museums ever. So clean and well labelled and informative. We will definitely return

What interesting exhibits! Timeline approach is very interesting, but with the constraints of the building it gets hard to see everything when it is even moderately crowded. Eclectic exhibitions. Well worth a vist if you are in the area.

A quick mid-afternoon winter visit. We'd been before many years before. Interesting displays, STUNNING art nouveau stained glass ( check out the beautiful peacocks on the front doors! ). Nice the see the Derbyshire Schools collection before it is dispersed. Plenty of interest for all ages.

I called in here twice during my stay in Buxton. It is full of fascinating exhibits ranging from those that detail the interesting history of the peaks, to the Boyd Dawkins collection. There was an exhibition called Between Two Worlds which was particularly good and really well curated to display the art works at their best. There is also a collection of locks which was something that intrigued me. It is certainly one of the many highlights of Buxton. Visit, you will not be disappointed.
