High Peak Bookstore and Cafe is one of the country's largest independent bookshops, offering incredible breadth and depth of titles and subject areas, for both general and specialist booklovers. Knowledgeable, friendly staff are on hand at all times, in a spacious, relaxing atmosphere in which you can browse at leisure. ***New Cafe*** We are very excited to announce that High Peak Bookstore Cafe is now open for business! Come and join us for a freshly ground coffee (we are proud to serve Fair Trade), or sample one of our Gold Award winning, loose leaf Novus teas. We have scrumptious home made cakes and we serve light lunches such as salads, sandwiches, soups and paninis. Do come and see us soon! High Peak Bookstore and Cafe boasts a large, free car park with picnic tables, and the rivers Dove and Manifold are just a short distance away. We also welcome coaches and appointments are not always necessary.

Stopped here for a quick look around. However, this is not some small book store but a well designed store of a selection of books hard to find elsewhere at some amazing prices. Part of the store has a caffe with a very reasonably priced...More

This is a lovely pit stop. The cafe is pleasant with a good variety of drinks and food. The bookstore has a wide range of books and gifts at very reasonable prices , definitely worth a look if you area reader!

Great café and attached to a large airy bookstore! We stopped for breakfast by chance and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and delicious - we recommend the grilled oatcakes with melted cheese. And we took cakes...More

Great place, easy to park, dog friendly too! Always visit, maybe once or twice a year when we are in the area. The stock always seems different and I always find something worth buying. The staff are very friendly. There is a cafe too but...More
