Me and my partner came to Buxton on the 15th October to visit the markets it says online and the leaflets "loads of stalls" there was 5, lovely scotch egg company, fruit n veg, clothes, Avon beauty products and second hand hand tools. We felt a bit conned if I am honest, I would not suggest going to Buxton for this. There are some lovely history sites and in lower town nice shops but sorry to say it isn't worth a walk up the hill at all. We were told the Bakewell markets are worth a visit but least in Bakewell the whole town is lovely with loads of nice shops.…

Don't bother. Go elsewhere. The market unfortunately was half empty, and sold household products or rugs, we saw 1 veg stall and 1 meat stall. No cakes, pies, pastries or any exciting produce which was a shame. I understand it was January, which may have explained it?

Not a lot there to be honest . About 5 stalls , mostly over price second hand stuff . Oh and a rug stall . Glad we drove up , would not have been worth the lung bursting steep walk up from the bottom of town .

We visited in early September on a rainy day. There were only a few stalls mostly selling car boot sale type items. There was also a good fruit stall and a plant stall with great aloe vera plants.

Must admit, expected more from the Saturday market in Buxton, given the amount of signage given to it from the town centre. Took the walk uphill, but in hindsight should have given it a miss. Small number of stalls, but even these outnumbered the customers.
