This was a trip of a lifetime. Laurie & Joe do the best job at organizing a very personalized tour of Ireland for each group. Joe is extremely knowledgeable on the history of all the places, the country is breathtaking, and Laurie is so fun. We went for a mother/daughter vacation. Every hotel was lovely, they were so helpful and accommodating to our every need. We felt as though we were with close friends the whole time. They are very welcoming. If you are thinking of taking a trip to Ireland, plan it today! You will be so happy you did.

Ireland itself is worth the trip - and return trips! This is my second visit to this beautiful island and also my second one with My Ireland Adventure. Joe and Laurie's personalized service and care is unmatched. Their love for Ireland, its people, its history, its lore, and otherworldly beauty is contagious and shows in everything they do. I wanted to experience as much of Ireland as possible, and I didn't want to experience it from a large bus. I was also hesitant to drive myself. Their tailor-designed tours for small groups of people are perfect for me! I look forward to returning again - and this time, bringing family with me because I am confident Joe and Laurie will provide them with an absolutely magical adventure in Ireland.

Thanks to my dear friend, Beth who invited me to her beautiful country Ireland. I got to meet Joe through her recommendation. Joe took care of all the bookings of hotels and entrance to most of the attractions. Which took away the stress of planning everything ourselves. He has an amazing knowledge of his country and navigated it well that we truly were able to appreciate the beauty, culture and people of Ireland. Joe took very good care of us and made sure everything was to our liking. It was so relaxing having to enjoy the beautiful landscape of mountains, rivers and waterfalls without having to worry about driving or getting to our next destination. I highly recommend Joe for your next trip to Ireland. It was truly a pleasure meeting Joe and spending 9 days of our trip with him. It was truly amazing and remarkable!!

This was my dream trip come true! Laurie Calahan & Joe Ormonde went over & above to make it special. I was on a mother-daughter trip with my sister & our two daughters. It was nothing short of ahmazing in every way. We stayed in wonderful hotels and had the best breakfast every morning! I can almost not describe it, because it was so fabulous. The castles, the countryside, the food, the sheep, the history, the lovely old buildings and everything in between. I fully intend to come back as soon as I can. Highly recommend you book this Ireland adventure sooner than later. You won’t regret it!! 🇮🇪 Thank you Laurie & Joe

My family’s trip with My Ireland Adventures was even better than we hoped it would be. From the beginning, Joe and Laurie helped us with logistics and our many, many questions. Once we were in Ireland, everything was taken care of, so we could really relax and enjoy the amazing views, food, and culture. Every restaurant Joe and Laurie took us to was delicious, and every hotel and guest house was lovely. The addition of Joe and Laurie’s knowledge and expertise meant we were able to get a well rounded trip where we felt like locals. I can’t recommend their services enough. Everyone in our group enjoyed the trip, and we could not have had the experience we did without My Ireland Adventures.

From the moment you meet Joe, your vacation begins with laughter, beautiful scenery, and knowledge of the country he loves so well. I have twice had the pleasure of driving all over the Emerald Isle with Joe and can honestly say I would go back again and again. His care in arranging accommodations and his attention to detail in tailoring the trip to what YOU want to see is unparalleled! I cannot recommend my friend, Joe Ormonde highly enough ❤️

Our Ireland adventure was perfect in every way. Laurie and Joe prepared us with everything we needed for our dream trip allowing us to sit back and savor the spectacular countryside of rugged coastlines and lush green landscapes. The people were gracious and welcoming. The food was delicious. I won’t soon forget Ireland’s beauty and the wonderful people there. I’m grateful I had the chance to experience it with Joe and Laurie.

This was the trip of a lifetime!! I simply can’t recommend Ireland and My Ireland Adventure enough. The sights were spectacular, the van and accommodations were comfortable, and Joe was professional, knowledgeable and charming. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. And he took us to many local places that tourists don’t normally get to experience. I wouldn’t want to see Ireland any other way, and I can’t wait to go back.

Excuse the long lead in, but I think it provides perspective. This was our first overseas trip in over 20 years. We chose Ireland because all four of my husband’s grandparents were born and grew up there. I have visited several countries in Europe and am familiar with train travel, so initially that was our plan. We soon learned that to see the places we wanted to see, we’d have to drive. We were prepared to drive on the left, but when we learned about the many narrow country roads, we were a little hesitant. Fortunately, I learned about Joe Ormonde and My Ireland Adventure’s personalized tours!
After some research, I found their price to be much less than other similar services, and not much more than renting a car and booking the lodgings and sights ourselves. We decided this was our best option and we are so happy we did!
Joe Ormonde is knowledgeable, kind, courteous, patient, flexible, friendly, and a man of integrity. He will tailor the trip to your desires and interests, plus he throws in places you didn’t even know about. Had we gone on our own, we would not have seen half of what we did, nor learned as much about this beautiful country. The bonus was that although we met as proprietor/customer, we departed as friends.
Some tips: you don’t need much time in Dublin, and you can easily skip it. The beauty of Ireland lies mostly in the small towns, villages, and country. We started in Dublin and drove all around the country, including the villages in Northern Ireland that my husband’s family was from. It’s hard to pick highlights, but if I had to pick I’d say Glendalough, St. Patrick’s Well, Kenmare, Killarney, Torc Waterfall, Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Slea Head Drive, and Kylemore Abbey. I could go on.
I don’t often recommend anything wholeheartedly, but you can’t go wrong with My Ireland Adventure. You will travel comfortably and be able to see so much more than if you tried to navigate and drive yourself.
We fell in love with Ireland, and I firmly believe our experience would not have been the same had we not chosen My Ireland Adventure! 💚

If you want to see Ireland off the beaten path, book a tour with MIA. Our 2 week tour did not disappoint! Ours was a group of 3 Canadian couples/friends that were lucky enough to see Ireland with a great tour guide! Joe is very organized and saw to it that we saw an insiders view of this beautiful country. The sights and places Joe took us to would’ve been missed had we planned this trip ourselves. Booking accommodations, knowing what to see, which restaurants to go to …all these details were looked after by MIA. Have you ever tried to book these things when you don’t know the area you are visiting? I have, and it is no small feat! It is like putting a puzzle together to coordinate accommodation and tours especially with a group. Our trip was top notch…we stayed in a variety of accommodations and each one was unique and i loved every place we stayed at. We enjoyed the food, the music and learning about Ireland through Joe’s knowledge of the country. Joe took us to visit Laurie’s beautiful property. It is stunning! Being able to sit back and leave the driving to Joe was great. His touring van is very comfortable and he looked after all our needs…we learned about 99 Ice Cream first hand! I would visit Ireland again with Joe and Laurie. If you are thinking of going to Ireland, make sure you do it with MIA. This trip was very organized and we saw so much in our 2 week tour of Ireland. The hardest part was to bid farewell at the Dublin airport…so many good memories of such a beautiful country. Thanks Joe and Laurie for a memorable tour!
