Good CADW maintained castle. Some repairs in progress at present Display boards clearly show development of castle. Good views over river and surrounding countryside As the website says the original doors are impressive as are the modern replacements

There's much to see here. The history of the changes is really well presented. Left with a feeling I'd learned a lot.

A good address for a visit with the whole familiy. It is a nice castle. Some ongoing renovations but sustained through the centuries.

Worth a visit as Chepstow is a pretty town and the castle has plenty of history. It's picturesque, quaint and plenty to read and see. Better on a dry day but sadly we didn't have that luxury. Lots of walking and uneven paths.

Our first venture into Wales. The castle is in some disrepair but we still found it very interesting.
