Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve covers 98 hectares near Dunkeld. From early April to late August, the star attraction is a pair of breeding ospreys, which nest just 150 metres from our observation hide. Interactive displays help bring the story of Loch of the Lowes to life. Get closer to the ospreys with binoculars, telescopes and live video footage. Spot red squirrels, woodpeckers and other woodland birds from viewing windows. Our gift shop offers a range of wildlife-related gifts and souvenirs. Hot and cold drinks and light refreshments are available.

What a beautiful place even in the rain. The star attractions are definitely the ospreys. Spent a few hours watching them tend to their chicks. But there is so much more and was lucky to see some mallard ducks with ducklings, great creasted grebes, reed...More

A great place for seeing ospreys (when nesting) and red squirrels (nearly always around), plus other birds (there were some cute baby pheasant when we were there. Gift shop but minimal refreshments (just coffee machine).

Lots of birds to see and of course the Ospreys. Great to watch the chicks being fed. Saw two birds we have never seen before, a redpoll and a yellowhammer.

There's not much to say, a good viewing spot to watch the ospreys and other birds. There's a gift shop too, all of which is a good way to contribute to a good cause.
