It really is worth while walking to the Hall it gives you some great views of the river. The wood is lovely and I'm sure would be wonderful at any time of the year.

Great parking at the Hermitage just off A9 north of Dunkeld. Lots of paths and walks, one taking you to the folly with the waterfall. Ossian's cave is just a bit further on and you can do a circular walk and come back another way.

Just a short walk through the woods to Ossian's Folly, this delivers you to a beautiful viewpoit over the river Brann. The upside of a summer of torrential rain is the view of a river in full torrent from this wonderful view point.

You can do this the really easy way and park when signed off the A9. It's a simple, gentle walk through the forest and you come to Ossian's Hall in no time. For a longer, more interesting walk, drive down the A822 towards Crieff for...More

A walk around the Hermitage will live long in the memory. Visit Ossians Hall to see the wonderful waterfalls. Many walks can be done as well and fill your lungs with fresh air. Follow the walk to Rumbling Bridge to see the falls there.

It's a lovely, gentle walk to this place which the Romantics like Wordsworth and Mendelssohn would swoon over, and did! If you possibly can, get there on your own to fully appreciate the drama so that you can recollect it in tranquility without tourists obscuring...More
