Visited here several times and in different season. It is a lovely short walk from the car park and the paths are easy to navigate. The waterfalls are lovely to watch and the surrounding areas are very peaceful. My favourite time to visit here is...More

great to walk as far or as short as you can mange, quite accessible for those with mobility issues. the noise of the water is extreme but wonderful and you can imagine sitting meditating, maybe only for a wee while though!

We went to the Hermitage for a walk on a beautiful Autumn morning, and were not disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone, the paths are easy, we saw families with young children, and prams, managing most of it. The Black Falls are amazing (watch...More

Amazingly scenic walk though woodland beside river. The 'folly' is named after old Scots/Irish Gaelic legend Ossian and contains fragments of Gaelic poetry and scenes from the legend. Stunning view over the raging waterfall. Area good for walkers or cyclists.
