Dinosaur Expeditions C.I.C. is a Community Interest Company created by local fossil enthusiasts. We promote responsible fossil discovery and conservation in addition to helping the public understanding of fossils and the palaeo-environment through Palaeoart. To do this we have established the 'Dinosaur Expeditions, Conservation and Palaeoart Centre' at the site of the Dinosaur Farm Museum. It houses displays of fossils, locally produced palaeoart, childrens' activities and a fossil & mineral giftshop. We also organise popular fossil hunting trips throughout the year at a variety of locations on the Isle of Wight, led by our experienced professional guides. Dinosaur Expeditions CIC pools the local knowledge, talents and experience of our Fossil Hunt leaders. This helps to ensure that we can provide a professional quality experience for all our customers. Are you mad about Dinosaurs and other fossils? We are, so why not join us on an amazing Fossil Hunting Adventure! Discover your own fossils and keep all your finds.

We returned to the Expeditions centre this year whilst we were on the island. Our two sons aged 9 and 13 love spending time looking around and chatting to Oliver and his team about their finds on the beach. Oliver is always welcoming and is...More

We did a 2 hour private fossil hunt. Only 7 of us in our party so all got lots of time to talk to our lovely young guide. This side of the island is very remote and beware the little chines where you have to...More

Excellent exhibits and a very friendly and well informed staff. Kids get to sift through sand for fossils and, as well as guided tours, fossils are for sale. I spent some time in conversation, with Oliver, a knowledgable and interesting guide. Highly reccommended, especially for...More

Popped in to look at the exhibits and learn a bit more about the local area. £11 for a family ticket was good value but what made the visit was the enthusiasm for the subject matter. Out little girl loves dinosaurs and she was shown...More

An inspiring afternoon led by Oliver, who was brilliant with kids (6-9) and adults (considerably older!). Pitched it perfectly, super-helpful and informative - suspect we have four wannabe paleontologists now.

Fossil hunting was fabulous and Oilver our guide extremely knowledgable and good fun. We also visited the museum which is teeny tiny and run by Oliver who is a real palaeontologist, he went through items in the museum with us and we got to see...More

The staff here are volunteers and seem very happy to explain about the exhibits. There are real fossils that we were able to touch and feel. Very exciting!

We took part in one of the dinosaur fossil expeditions. Finding the right place to meet was a bit of a challenge initially (meeting in a small car park with no official "sign" - leave yourself time to find it!), but once underway we spent...More

Wow! Just wow! We knew that the island had a rich history with dinosaurs, and had looked into doing some of the guided tours before but they were all really expensive and didn't seem that great... and that all changed when we stumbled on Dinosaur...More
