It's not a hugely memorable destination but it is very pleasant. Nice to just wander around. The car park in the middle is ugly and should be closed but otherwise it is a fairly slow place

The harbour has been dredged and the bridge repaired and reopened to the Harbour arm. This buzzes on a nice day with eating and drinking places and people promenading. Often live music and places to sit and dream. There is a path across the beach...More

Though successive governments did their best to destroy the nation's fishing, this area has survived with much of its original character. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, excellent pubs like The Ship, and good food ranging from Rock Salt to traditional seafood.

Such beautiful scenery. Perfect for all ages. Can work out expensive if you want food and drinks but everywhere is lovely regardless.
