This could be such a nice place. The last time I was here was over 30 years ago and to be honest it hasn't changed much. They are renovating the old rail link and swing bridge, but the rest of the area is still a waste and building site. There are some nice pubs along the harbour and some clean... More

Nice little harbour but a lot off work being carried out. Shame theres a big hotel opposite looks dirty and drab spoils the outlook to what could be a pretty place.

Nice to walk around, but only briefly, but it needs an overhaul. THe station area was dangerous. The harbour was nice to look at. Gives an idea of the "good old days"

The harbour is tidal - sometimes the tide will be out completely and the boats are resting on the mud - at other times it is far more attractive with the boats bobing around. It's a working fishing harbour, go and buy your fish here, far tastier than supermarket fare. Car parking available, fountain that children can run around in,... More

The area offered some lovely, friendly local pubs. We were made to feel very welcome in every pub we had been in around the harbour and town.

The harbour is very picturesque at high tide but at low tide, the water recedes and any boats there are beached. The area houses cafes, wet fish shops, whelk stalls, The Smokehouse fish and chip shop and the Rocksalt restaurant. There's lots to do and a nice place to spend half a day in the summer.

Folkestone has always had a wonderful harbour and beach area, the work on the Harbour Arm has really brought life back to the area. As an ex local who grew up here it's great to see life back in the area.

Folkestone harbour is a big area of land that could be made better with regeneration. There is a paved area with water fountains coming up for children and there are good gift shops and decent restaurants, but otherwise there isn't really a great deal to do there which was a bit if a diss appointment, although there is a large... Thanks to the reopening of the Folkestone Harbour Arm ( Summer only ) the whole Harbour area is becoming a great place to be with something for everyone from pop up bars and restaurants on the arm , to the more traditional pubs around the Harbour area; pour on some great weather and recipe for a good day out.
