It's always a pleasure to have a walk in this cemetery, and even more atmospheric on a misty winter's day. There are several information boards giving details of some of the people buried in the cemetery, and the birds and squirrels are a delight.

Well worth a visit, if you can find this delightful secret garden! Interesting historically and botanically. Perhaps best visited in the Spring months.

A typical victorian cemetery which is being lovingly cared for by the community. A huge expanse of land with loads of history. If you love exploring cemeteries you will love this one.

I was completely unprepared for all that this cemetery has to offer. I was told about there being a Secret Garden but, looking at the display plan, could not find it marked. My adventure started by walking the winding pathways which form terraces; the first "surprise" I found was the "Bombardment of Scarborough Cairn" with its history board explaining the... More

The volunteers are doing a great job, getting this once beautiful churchyard back to its former glory. They have transformed the war memorials and are lovely to see when you wonder round. The church is the next on their list and it is going to be the hub of the Cemetery. Well done all of you Bonnie

It never ceases to amaze that so few people know of the solitude and beauty to be found here...and perhaps that's no bad thing! it isn't a place for youngsters to run around, but one for old-stagers to stroll, sit and enjoy.

An interesting place to visit for historians, wildlife enthusiasts, gardeners or just for a quiet place to stroll. The grounds are maintained by volunteers who are improving the site with information boards and trails for children. Well worth a visit.
