We always park at the top here to walk down to the sea front. The kids love the windy paths to the bottom and sometimes take their scooters. The gardens are always kept lovely and there are lots of squirrels that are quite tame.

I remember as a family we used to walk on the Esplanade for the lovely flower displays when we were on holiday, and for the most part things are not so bad. I always nip down to the Italian garden and it's still lovely. Please...More

Hardly anyone seems to know about these gardens and you can walk peacefully around them or have a picnic and sometimes be the only peple there. The beautifully kept flower beds are juxtaposed with 1920's style pergolas and a surrounding woodland walk which leads anywhere...More

A lot of people seem to knock the Scarborough Council these days but they do a great job in keeping all the parks and gardens to a high standard. Always a pleasure to come back to my roots and walk through them.

The whole of the south cliff area is Scarborough's most agreeable exposure to the sea. The Italian gardens are its brightest feature. For those averse to hill climbs, there is a frequent tramway service down the cliff nearby.

Not much there really. Can get some lovely photos if the lights good. Nice to sit in but don't go alone later on or first thing as homeless are in the nearby shelters on the paths leading to it or sometimes in the gardens. Pond...More

No. The Grand is in the town, the Italian Gardens are on the South Cliff. Cross the Spa bridge and you're on the South Cliff, 400ms and you'll find the Gardens on the left. Enjoy
