When going here it has to be said that it's a place for youngsters more then oldies like us! Cost us £16 for a family of 4, a few ponies, a couple of shire horses and the dog - a very expensive 20 minutes.

While on holiday we spent a few hours here.Its worth a visit as little ones would enjoy the Shetland Ponies.theres a small cafe on site and some interesting information related to the farm and examples of horse related tack from bygone times. Coming back from Scarborough saw signs for the Shire Horse Farm.. Drove the 4 miles passing more signs arrived only to find its Closed. Why have the signs up if Closed.. A Big thank you for my 8 mile de tour.. This is my first negative post

This only opens on Sundays!!!! The road sign is miles away from the actual farm so ten miles later........

This place is absolutely stunning and peaceful. It is a great day out for children to see the Shetland ponies and they even get to sit on them for a photo and brush them!! This was atotal rip off £5.50 entrance to see 5 ponies 3 hens and 2 sheep dogs and a bit of memrobelia no shire horses??? Took 15 minutes to see the lot

We visited the farm while on holiday. My daughter is horse mad and getting close to these beautiful beasts is a joy for her. Unfortunately they are now only open over the holidays(Aug 2013) for charity fundraising days. See their website for dates and charity being supported.There are now only 3 shires left though there are a few other horses... More
