I visited with my 2 grandsons during half-term break at the end of February, Sadly, it did not live up to expectations at all and judging by more recent reviews, the exhibits which weren't functioning during our visit have still not been fixed. We arrived early to avoid the half-term crowds but there weren't any and it was very cold... More

We decided to take my 4 year old daughter assuming it would be a little similar to the Eureka museum which she loves. It cost £28 for the three of us so I was hoping it would be good and keep her entertained with the interactive displays promised on the website. As soon as we walked in it was really... More

We managed to get discounted tickets with the free return for a year (we went back twice to kill an hour). It has all the makings of being an amazing day out. The building is impressive and our young son loves walking through the initial steel part. The four sections of magma are pretty good especially the water area but... More

Sunday morning family trip, we arrived around 11am to find the place very quiet. Family ticket £30, a touch steep but it's valid all year with photo id. Make sure you bring a jumper if it's not hot out, it's a cavernous building. There's plenty to do, but I'm afraid it's getting a bit run down, quite a lot of... More

This is a reasonably priced family day out. A family ticket for two adults and a child cost just under £30 with free returns for a year which is great if it's just on the doorstep. This place is great for kids with lots of interactive activities and buttons to press, but also for adults if you're interested in science... More

Came here with my girlfriend as we both like doing things abit out of the ordinary & learning something along the way. So many different activities do partake in and kept us interested the whole way round. The one disappointing thing was that alot of the electronic/computer aided activities either didn't work or were faulty. Apart from the above it... More

Came to Rotherham for a weekend away and seen this place on TripAdvisor, as we like science stuff we thought this would be a good place to visit. We really enjoyed the day out, we spend at least 2 and a half hours here as there is so much to see and do. They have 4 different sections to see,... More

The website looked really good and it sounded like a fun and exciting day out however when we arrived with our 11 month old and 4 year old im sorry to say it did not live up to expectations. The place was empty hardly anyone there when we arrived on a weekend. Inside was actually colder than outside not something... More

We went with young children, the outdoor play area is excellent and sizeable. In better weather would have entertained them for a good hour+. Inside the big melt is very noisy, not good for little ones but can see being interesting for older kids, ditto air display. Water and earth area enjoyed by kids as there a few things they... More

We visited Magna with some friends. A 13 year old, 4 year old and baby. The premise is very big (It was a steelworks after all) and split into sections. To walk between each section you walk through the steelworks, which is quite dark and loud. This was a bit scary for my 4 year old. Once in the sections... More
