We visit this Church one afternoon and saw that we could ascend the 144 steps up and beyond the bell tower to see the historic town of Stamford spread beneath it. It only cost £3 and was worth every penny. Small groups are taken up...More

A lovely church, with good explanations of the various monuments. We visited just after Harvest Festival had been celebrated, and the floral decorations were superb. Another good touch was the CD of hymns playing in the background - not intrusive, but enough sound to give...More

Thanks very much for your feedback. I'll make sure our excellent team of flower-arrangers knows about your enjoyment of the harvest decorations. I am pleased you liked the recorded music: we cannot always provide if, for example, someone needs to rehearse some real music, but...More

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our visit to this church. It wasn't extraordinary in any way but nevertheless was interesting for a short visit.

We only saw this Church at night; it is most spectacular. A very unusual design & really well lit up.

I was lucky enough to notice the sign that said, "tower open", walking past the church, and OMG is it worth it! Fab volunteers escort you up the narrow steps (not too many, so manageable even for mobility challenged, in my humble view). Spectacular views...More

Opening times will vary depending on weddings and the like, but yes, visitors to the tower are very welcome in the summer. I am so glad to hear that our volunteers are fab!

Stamford has many beautiful churches, All Saints stands out because you can travel up the tower under the guidance of a volunteer. Our tour was very interesting, I got to ring a church bell, we could see three counties from the top and loved looking...More

Thanks for your review. The view from the tower is great and we welcome visitors there through the summer when the weather is suitable, depending on weddings and other events, of course.

Thanks for your kind comments. We cannot take credit for the beauty (that's down to the Browne brothers who restored and improved the place centuries ago) but it is good to hear that you found the place welcoming. We do try to provide a welcome...More

I am so glad you had a pleasant visit to Stamford All Saints. Tourism is not, of course, our core mission, so I don't think we'll be setting about the interior to knock out any future visitors, but if people find some peace here we'll...More
