Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe.

The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

A lovely area which is made up of lots of manmade bays and beaches. We actually stayed at the Haven Heights Hotel which is right on the beach. It's a fantastic area in Poole and would highly recommend to anyone visiting. Great for romantic strolls or dog walking. Give it a go! 😎

Great day at the beach. Views of Isle of Wieght. Plenty of parking but get there early in the summer. Cafe on the beach front. Shower to remove sand and good toilet facilities. Beautiful bay. Westwards is Old Harry's Rocks and Eastwards, Bournemouth piers.

Great Views, clean sand and whilst popular is less crowded than other nearby beaches. Sheltered slightly from the Poole Bay so gets hotter and the inner harbour also provides good paddling and winkling in a safe environment for children.

Sandbanks is my local beach. It a lovely place to take the kids or go for a dog walk on the dog beach side. I have spent many days here from when I was a little girl. I would of given it five stars if the council hadn't decided to charge for street parking on the peninsula.
