Its my local, doesnt make it great but given the severe lack of options around the area its not too bad, outside area for smoking and summer drinking. Yes it can be a little lively but on the whole its alright if you want a worse pub try the red lion.

Went along to see a local band, stood at the quiet bar for ten minutes while the bar staff chatted to their mates, took selfies, and flirted with other customers. Eventually the barmaid walked past me to serve one of her mates who had just walked up to the bar! At this point we protested that we were already waiting... More

Came here for a lunchtime drink. This place is popular with locals. TV showing sports with occasional load music piping up. Prices were reasonable. A pint of Peroni costs £3.20. I think the owners are moving on as there is a sign outside asking if you could run a pub. Had a couple of pints. Barmaid was friendly and it... More

A very good pub mind you. I play pool there sometimes with colleagues after work or enjoy a quiet pint with a paper after a particularly tiring day. Nice and friendly. Not many bitters though.

If like us you enjoy a day out to include horses, then let me recommend the Suffolk Punch Trust. You get a demonstration of saddling or different types of reins , a drive round the farm ,with commentary and a museum of farming equipment ,plus an excellent café,, all in all, a really great day out .....try it....

This is a very special place to visit as they are doing a wonderful job keeping the Suffolk Punch horse breed flourishing, the Suffolk Punch horses are lovely, such gentle giants with amazing eyes and soft mouths!

Visited with family, the grandchildren loved it. Staff very friendly and informative and had time to answer any questions. Plenty to do, the horses there are beautiful. Plenty of other animals to see and they enjoyed the ride. A good family day out

Having just moved to the area and this pub being on my doorstep gave it a try. From the minute you walk in a very friendly and welcoming pub the barmaid is so lovely remembered us and our drinks the next time , and the landlord and landlady invited me and my partner to a soul event they were putting...
