This must be one of the best gates in that part of Ipswich. Certainly, I cannot think of any better gates anywhere near.

It is not really an attraction .... Only a door gate. You spend literally 5min there. It is not really a daily thing

Stuck on a very busy, dirty road, this is all that remains of Wolsey's College. Not much else to see other than the gateway.

Should be the pride of Ipswich but it has been left to get in such a state of disrepair its criminal, whoever is responsible for the upkeep of this should be ashamed

The Wolsey Gate sits next a busy one way road system. Not worth a special trip but if walking between the town centre and the Waterfront take a slight detour

Although only open to the public for visits on very limited occasions this wonderful building, which is in an excellent state of repair, can be viewed on passing by in the street. An even better view is obtained from the Ipswich and Suffolk Club's carpark....More

Although not the most visually overwhelming of sites, its historical value alone rates better than a "terrible." It is an attractive site and worth visiting by Wolseyites and others interested in Ipswich history.
