Really enjoyed visiting and will go again for sure. They've got someone new doing the food and it's incredible!

New management really seems to enjoy their YouTube techno/80/90s playlists. Bar staff need to do their rounds a little more frequently to clear the tables. Need to let the pints drain a little more before serving them. Possibly need to invest in a little more static outdoor heating during the winter. Otherwise nice atmosphere and great for live sports with... More

I visited here to watch the GAA final between Mayo and Dublin as we had had a brilliant time on the last occasion these teams met, despite my team, Mayo losing. The atmosphere this year was once again fantastic and the game was shown on the large outside screen as well as several inside. The game ended in a draw... More

Building nice but dirty. Poorly trained staff, that tried hard. The I presume the publican shouted at staff and was very rude. Tried it once and couple of weeks later went back to try again. This time did not even order a drink, just walked out. Never again. Best avoided at all costs.

Mcgintys Is inside a fantastic old building with loads of character. we came here for the football and the atmosphere was incredible. but halfway through the game they had run out of most beers/lagers. to be honest the selection of bottled and draught beer they have is pretty poor anyway. there is huge potential here in such a great little... I visited here with my brother on Bank Holiday Friday evening as part of a 'tour' around some pubs I've yet to visit in Ipswich. I have to be honest, whilst it has charm, I wasn't overly impressed. There didn't appear to be a selection of real ales from what I could see which was probably the biggest let-down for... More

I came here on a weekday lunchtime. There is no food available during the day. I was ok with that as there was a strong smell of paint in the bar. Staff are ok and they advertise that sky sports is on offer. Apparently they have live music during the weekend. It was an ok place but personally there are... More

terrible beer, no atmosphere and an ignorant unfriendly landlord. In desperate need of refurb and could do with a good cleaner and most deffinatley a more experienced and friendly manager.

What a great location and collection of buildings. Really big outdoor space and seating everywhere but this pub really doesn't capitalise on what it has. Pint ok, live band good, toilets wrecked. I'd love to see this old place rejuvenated and given the kiss of life it needs.
