Stare at boats
Mar 2021
When we don't here, we saw everything was closed. The shops and other interest points all closed. We stated at boats moored here. The waterfront is developed haphazardly, we think. Not fun!

Attractive views across the marina
Sep 2020
The waterfront's a nice place to be, more especially on a warm sunny evening. Pleasant walk along the quayside with boats to admire and pubs, bars and bistros to visit.

Disappointing
Sep 2020
We had read the reviews and thought this would make a nice visit. It was very disappointing and 20 minutes would be the most I would recommend.
If you like looking at boats or want to visit a restaurant or cafe then longer would be reason. Otherwise don't expect much

Disappointed
Sep 2020
We had read the reviews so expected to spend about 1 to 2 hours here just wandering around. We actually spent about 20 minutes which was all it took us to walk round. There were some restaurants/cafes around but that was about it apart from the huge Arc which was not for us. There were no shops and there is only so much time that can be spent looking at boats.

early morning jogging
Sep 2020
Ipswich town centre seems to have many problems and needs taking in hand. But the waterfront area is clean, smart, and full of good bars and restaurants.
Lots of joggers and skaters as it is a lovely area for exercise, the waterfront is well worth a visit.

very nice!
Aug 2020 • Family
We visited Ipswich a couple of times in August. Ipswich Waterfront is a lovely place, where one can see lots of boats and enjoy his/her coffee or meal in one of the numerous cafes/pubs. We will definitely visit again!
