Llandudno's West Shore is far more laid back than its busy north beach. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre and offers beautiful views of the North Wales coast and Anglesey. Near the quiet sandy beach are a playground for young children and a putting area which is open during the summer months. There's also a pub and... More

Picturesque, serene and darn cold in January! A lovely place to fly a kite, take a walk, have a picnic and a great alternative to the larger beach at the other end of the road. A small cafe on the side of the beach offers all you could need.

Excellent beach away from the town and much quieter. Great views and lots of space to either play on the sand, paddle in the sea or sit quietly and watch the world go by.

We walked up from our hotel to the west shore beach. It was pretty empty so it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. The sand was soft and the sunset was beautiful to see.

Walk the dog, take the family to the beach, picnic or just a nice stroll. It's refreshing, relaxing and some of the best views I've seen anywhere (even when the weather is not that nice). Watch where you take your dogs - the area is patrolled enthusiastically. You can take dogs the the left of main beach and to the... More

We only realised that there was another beach when I spotted the land train heading in that direction. We had a very pleasant walk down to the beach in the sun. The beach was very quiet except for a couple of dog walkers. There was a cafe, toilets, childrens' play area and an outdoor gym.

Very pleasant alternative to the main beach . A bit quieter if you want a bit less hustle and bustle and easier to find a parking space . The Christian cafe is worth a visit .

Love the view and the beach. On a good day it's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the comparative quiet. I've missed the steps this year though...they were very useful 'seats'. Pleased to see a tearoom there, and easy to get to via the 'train' down Gloddaeth Street.

The sand stretches become so large when the tide goes out. It is a very peaceful area to just sit and stare at the waters.
