A really nice aquarium, very nicely designed. Many of the tanks let you see the fish from many angles, interactive displays, nice scenery

It was pouring with rain but my husband and I had decided on our last trip we would visit here when we returned. It took us 1hr to walk there from our ship and even though it was pouring and cold we enjoyed the scenery and the walk. I had read some reviews about it on here and was a... More

We purchased the hop on hop off bus ticket at cruise ship pier. Very easy to get to the top at Mt. Aksia for beautiful view of the town below, then on to the aquarium. Very nice display of sea life, great explanations in English. Plan on spending 1-2 hours at aquarium. Hop on bus drops you right in city... More

It turns you into marine scientist. You find all type of fish in this building. Kids are encouraged to catch crabs and touch weird fishes. It is very entertaining and the feeding of penguins and the seal are plus points outside. To watch kids playing with man made stream outside the building was fun.

I love this place. I've been here on dates, with frieds and with family. It is so peaceful. You could just sit infront of the big tank for hours.

Terrific indoor and outdoor displays of the aquatic wildlife in this part of the world. Ceiling-high glass walls for viewing large cod and wolf fish and rock lobsters and spotted rays. Great penguin and seal displays outside showing these delightful animals in their natural habitats. Very nice cafe on premises for human visitors. A must see when visiting Alesund Norway!

Parts were closed for renovation during our visit, but there was more than enough to enjoy. We were limited on time, but really enjoyed the huge saltwater tank and fish feeding by a diver. Also, the penguins out back were great, and the seal pond is enormous! The views outside are also terrific. A great choice for a brief stop.
