A great bar for drinks before or after dinner. Named for the mistress of King Christin II of Denmark.

Wonderful Historic Pub from the 1300’s
May 2019 • Couples
We visited this pub during our trip to Bergen.

The lower part dates back to 1305 and was why we wanted to visit.

We arrived right before the lower part of the pub was open to the public.

The bartender was kind enough to let us downstairs while she was working to open the pub.

We had the whole pub to ourselves which was amazing!

The downstairs was the original part of the pub and retained its medieval character and charm.

The ceiling was low and covered with the original wood beams. The walls were thick stone.

The room light was low with the pleasant ambience of candlelight.

We felt like we were back in medieval times.

We ordered a beer. I recommend the local Hansa beer.

The bartender explained the history of the pub to us while she worked.

A special thank you to her for making our afternoon there memorable.

This is the oldest remaining pub in Bergen, and a definite ‘must see’ for history lovers.

I highly recommend a visit to this pub if you have time!

Atmosphere plus
Jan 2019 • Couples
Reported to be the oldest pub in Bergen set on the narrow original main street and dating back to 1300. We enjoyed a few wines on a dark and cold afternoon. I just wish we had a pile of Bergen friends to really enjoy what this old place had to offer. Good beers and wines, Huge partycellars and iive music on Thursday nights. For one drink or 100, be you local or a tourist you JUST HAVE TO VISIT this pub.

Great Bar and Close to Harbour Area
Dec 2018 • Friends
We visited this lovely bar twice during our weekend in Bergen. The barman was very informative and friendly and the atmosphere cosy. It was a short walk from the harbour area and it provided a lovely break from the cold of a December visit.

Great bar

Visted here twice recently and really like the place. I was lucky with the weather so could sit outside but inside the bar is really cosy. Drinks aren't too expensive and the service was good.

Wine cellar

Really lovely little spot. Hard to find at first but glad we did! The wine was delicious and the servers really knowledgeable with their recommendations. Price wasn't too bad either compared to other bars we visited in Bergen. Definitely a place to bring a special someone- the setting was lovely and romantic. The live music was also great!

Great little bar

Stumbled across this while strolling on our first afternoon in Bergen. Lovely lady behind the bar helped with recommendations of places to eat later. Nice wine and a decent beer in a comfortable atmosphere. Liked it a lot.

Cozy Wine Bar
Oct 2017 • Couples
Atmospheric wine bar in great location near intersection of Bryggen and Torget. Not a dinner venue, but a cozy place to stop for a drink, pre or post dinner.
