Go early to avoid queues. The views from the top are breathtaking. The city lays before you and you can see see the small islands dotted around as far as the eye can see. There is a cafe/ restaurant and a choice of many walls...More

Lovely views from the top, but the best thing was the fairly challenging hike form the top of Mount Ulriken to Mount Floyen...took about 4 hours (with a baby!)...amazing scenery...the best thing we done in the Bergen area!

We had a great time here caught the bus from bergen as part of the trip! We did have a hire car and it would probably be cheaper to drive yourself but we were on holiday and it was easier to just do the package....More

Wonderful trip, you can see the whole city from the top. You can either walk or take the cable cars to the top. There are different routes to the top as well if you prefer an easier route up or down.

Worth the cable car ride. Great opportunity to take photos, go hiking from there or have a meal. Great spot to watch paragliding (hand gliding).

We took the tour bus from city center to the gondola base. We are glad we didn't get there any later (get there earlier the better). Also there was a bridal party that jumped into 2 gondolas ahead of the line so it really backed...More

We were here in August so there was a bit of a line for the cable car, but once we reached the top - WOW!! Spent over an hour taking pictures, walking down a couple of the trails, etc. Just spectacular.

This place is better than Mount Floyen, it's higher and the view is better. You can see more from here, all the islands around the town. There is not as many options for food here but much better pictures.

So sorry for the delay in replying! We have not long returned to NZ from Europe. It could be difficult to get your Mum up to this as, from memory, there are also steps to negotiate. It is a brilliant experience but could... More
