I love a land train!!! It did cost 200 Kroner each which seems expensive but not really for Norway prices. Unfortunately it was raining but it was a good place to keep dry. A good trip with info through headphones and some good views of the city!!!

I decided to jump on the the motorized train as I had just arrived and wanted to get some idea of Bergen. It was expensive 200 Kroner and I wasn't told about the headphone option at the time of boarding. The cobbled streets were at times a little bumpy to negotiated but the trip was pleasant and the views over Bergen were... This attraction consists of an automotive "train" that takes riders on a 40-minute circuit (plus a ten-minute stop) around part of Bergen. There is a recorded voice that describes some of the sights and the history behind them. Unfortunately, the "Express" travels over numerous cobblestone streets; the bumpy ride is so noisy that you cannot hear the descriptions over the... More

It was raining as we walked towards the Tourist Information Centre near the harbour, so for 150 kroners each we took refuge on the Expressen which left at 11 am shortly after our arrival (we were the only passengers in the front carriage - 3 passengers were in the second carriage). Unfortunately, we couldn't hear some of the English commentary... More

Very pleasant experience with one major issue/problem. You must use headphones to hear the narration which is quite good. The English language portion of the narration was done using the cabin sound system....road noise completely obliterated the sound for the first half. Headphones were used for the last half.

This tour takes less than an hour and is only 150kr. Nice little basic trip. The whole narration is taped. If you have limited time and/money this is the trip for you to find out the basics on Bergen. It does stop on the mountain and provides a beautiful ovwrlook of the citt. I suspect most other tours are more... More

We had extra time so we thought this would be fun. They give you earphones with an audio guide in your spoken language. The commentary was okay and gave some information. They stopped at a view to lookout over the city for about 10 minutes. The driver said she was too busy to talk to passengers. The only guide was... More

We wouldn't usually do the model red tour train ride around a place, but my back was aching and we thought the ride would be good to see a bit of Bergen on our first day. It was actually very good and took us right behind the fish market area and up the hillside so we had some good views... More

The train left from right outside out hotel, The First Marin, and since we had just arrived and a bit tired from travel, we hopped on to get a look around. I can't say it was AMAZING, don't think I can recall one thing I heard from commentary. It seems the ground we covered was the same area that we... More

This is lovely, if you like the dotto train trips that most cities do. This one last for about 45 minutes and does take you through some small roads. It's a cute trip but expensive, £15 for the trip at Easter. The commentary was very poor as we coudn't hear it all, we were not given headphones. Nice way to... More
