I am slightly hesitant to write a review of this place as it is so full of charm and character and I feel it's one of those hidden gems that shouldn't be over exposed however the coffee here is amazing. The barista takes extreme pride in making each coffee well. They also make a fantastic hot chocolate and their pistachio... More

Fantastic coffee in a charming cafe. My husband and I shared the cake they had, which was delicious!

The title of the review says it all--I am a coffee lover and had many a mediocre cup of java or worse in Bergen, so I was thrilled when I stumbled upon this tiny café at the base of the funicular (actually you will need to walk up a flight or two of stairs beyond the funicular station to reach... Cute place with rather good coffee right in the centre of the city. Awesome barista, homemade cakes and cozy interior. Great place to get a cup of coffee on your way to/from mountain. Prices are quite high, but it's Norway-everything is expensive.

My partner and I visited here between Christmas and New Year and the coffee and brownie we had was fantastic. Proper double shot coffee like we have in New Zealand and the guy knew what he was doing. Would highly recommend a trip here and it's very close to the Funicular.

This is that kind of a place that puts a smile on your face in any weather :) Very good coffee and very nice cakes! Tucked in a very cure street with white houses and rose bushes, just a step away from Flybanen station and a few meters away from Bryggen. When I was there they had this amazing playlist... More

We visited this place once - more coincidentally - in 2009. Now visiting Bergen we thought it would be nice to come back, as the place kinda stayed in our memory for its outstanding coffee. And it didn´t change, on the contrary, got even better. The coffee here is amazing, so is the atmosphere. But he coffee!! it´s really once... More

This is a gem of a coffee house in Bergen. The coffee was just as I like it and well worth the walk up from the harbour. The coffee maker was from our home of Australia and had lots of tips for things to do and see in Norway.

Our Rick Steves tour book of Norway said the locals thought this to be “the best coffee north of the Alps: whatever that means - and it is quite good - but not worth going out of your way to find. The coffee in Bergen - in Oslo - in Norway! - is universally good, hard to go wrong. We... More
