Its a very important place in Trondheim and the buildings are well conserved. Its expensive like everything in Norway so this is not a surprise. The service is good and is family-children friendly :)

This is an excellently presented museum. The buildings have been gathered together, from different areas as well as from different centuries. All buildings have been preserved and conserved, which is a credit to all those involved in the process. The guide gave an excellent presentation...More

I absolutely love open-air style museums and this one was great. Everything was covered in a layer of snow, there were real campfires and tents, and there was traditional Sami singing while I was there. You can walk around the place as you please and...More

The area itself is quite vast, beautiful buildings everywhere - one of my absolute favourites is Oppdalstunet, in particular Detli, it'simply breathtaking...More

We went to the Easter Egg hunt and helped solve the Easter mystery. We got candy as a prize and the kids all had a lot of fun doing this! The cafe is very cosy and has very good waffles.

how far is it from cruise terminal. Are there any taxis at port to take us

Hello! It is about a ten minute drive from the cruise terminal. There should be taxis waiting at the terminal. You can also come here by bus. Nr 18 stops right outside the museum entrance :)
